Dr. Nadejda HORCHIDAN is a scientific researcher with original results in the study of multifunctional ceramics with applications in microelectronics. She obtained her PhD in Physics in 2013 and has gained experience in preparation, micro/nano-scale characterization, electrical and magnetic characterization of materials.
The main research topics in which CS III dr. Nadejda HORCHIDAN has made original contributions are:
- Experimental study of dielectric/ferroelectric properties of dense and porous lead-free ferroelectric materials (based on BaTiO3)
- Complex multidisciplinary characterization (from macro- to microscale) for Pb-based ferroelectric ceramics
- Study of composite materials: polymer/ferroelectric, ferroelectric/magnetic (experimental studies of low and high field properties)
- High field properties of different materials (ferroelectric switching and polarization mechanisms in ferroelectrics, dc-tunability)
- Design and implementation of experimental set-ups for energy harvesting applications developed for: flexible composite systems (inorganic filler in polymer matrix) and rigid systems (piezoelectric ceramics).
