PhD Dumitrela Diaconu is a scientific researcher at the L1-CERNESIM laboratory and she defended her doctoral thesis entitled “New hybrid compounds containing five- and six-membered azaheterocycles: synthesis, structure and applications” in 2021 at the Alexandru Ioan Cuza University of Iasi, Romania. The research directions focus on the synthesis of target compounds, biologically active, with azaheterocyclic structure and ecologically-friendly reactions carried out under ultrasound irradiation. PhD Dumitrela Diaconu uses spectroscopic characterization techniques of synthesized derivatives such as: FT-IR, NMR or HRMS. The newly synthesized molecules target potential uses in the pharmaceutical, medical and optoelectronic fields.
