Maria Moruz has been a researcher at the Department of Social Sciences and Humanities since February 2009, when she was part of the project team of “Monumenta linguae Dacoromanorum. Biblia 1688”. In December 2009, she completed her PhD at the “Alexandru Ioan Cuza” University of Iaşi, with a thesis on the analysis of phraseological units in a parallel bilingual corpus.
She was project director of a CNCSIS TD grant, POSDRU postdoctoral researcher, collaborator in the Widespread Idioms in Europe and Beyond. A Cross-linguistic and Cross-cultural Research Project, and member of various research projects concerning in the above-mentioned areas of expertise. She is co-author and editor of several volumes in the Monumenta linguae Dacoromanorum. Biblia 1688, co-organizer of the International Symposium “Explorations in the Romanian and European Biblical Tradition”, and founding member of the Romanian Association of Biblical Philology and Hermeneutics.
