The research activity is devoted to the fabrication and characterization of some nonlinear optical materials for applications in integrated nonlinear optics: fabrication techniques used in clean room laboratory (spin coating technique, photolithography process); fabrication of optical waveguides on lithium niobate substrates by using one of proton exchange techniques (soft proton exchange-SPE, High Vacuum Proton Exchange-HiVacPE, high vacuum vapor-phase proton exchange -HiVac-VPE); fabrication of periodically-poled lithium niobate (PPLN structures) by using E-field poling method; determination of refractive index profile of optical waveguides by using M-lines technique.
She has solid scientific backgrounds on morphological, structural electrical and optical characterization of oxide thin films in view of different applications such as sensing, self-cleaning and solar cells.
