The main research topics in which dr. Ciomaga Cristina Elena has made significant original contributions are: I. Study of BaTiO3 (BT) solid solutions: preparation – characterization – electrical properties – modeling: (1) Study of Ba(Zr,Ti)O3 (BZT) ferroelectric – relaxor ceramics. (2) Implementation of FORC method for describing the local switching properties of BT-solid solutions. II. Study the role of porosity on the functional properties of ceramic materials (BT, BaSrTiO3 and Nb-doped Pb(Zr,Ti)O3 (PZT)). III. Multiferroic composites with magnetoelectric coupling: experiment-modelling. (1) Investigation of magnetoelectric effect in Pb(Fe2/3W1/3)O3-PbTiO3. (2) Study of magnetoelectric properties in BT–(Ni,Zn)Fe2O4, PZT-ferrites (CoFe2O4, NiFe2O4, MnFe2O4). IV. The study of composite materials formed by ferroelectric matrix and carbon nanotubes (CNT). V. The study of dielectric relaxation and conduction in ferrites.
