Dr. Cristina-Giorgiana Coromelci has experience the area of nanostructured materials (mainly TiO2), her main interest being directed to combining the field of nanomaterials with some stringent needs of humanity, helping to wastewater treatment using advanced oxidation processes and to increase the quality of water and life. Working within 6 projects (1 as Project Director and 5 as a member), she gained experience in the synthesis of nanomaterials through classical and innovative methods, like the use of ultrasonic or microwave techniques, which lead to improved properties of the photocatalysts. She also contributed to the characterization of the obtained materials, working directly with analysis equipments (N2 sorbtion/desorbtion autosorb, Atomic absorption spectrometer, TOC Analizer, UV-Vis Spectrophotometer, Photoreactor) and also interpretating various analisys results (BET, SEM, XRD, TEM, FTIR, etc).
