Dr. Florin-Constantin MIHAI is a scientific researcher III in CERNESIM Research Center, PhD in Geography since 2013 (maximum distinction), BSc and MSc degrees in Environmental Science, he published scientific articles in peer-reviewed journals, conference proceedings, book chapters on various environmental topics with special attention dedicated to rural communities. The research aims are to develop new methods and indicators to assess and analyze critical environmental problems through a holistic and interdisciplinary approach. Research topics are interconnected and include: environmental geography, waste management, plastic pollution, circular economy, public and environmental policies, spatial analysis and territorial disparities, rural and regional development, Agenda 2030 with SDGs. He supports geographies of waste as a complementary approach in the natural and social sciences.
