Mădălina-Andreea Ungureanu has been a researcher at the Social Sciences and Humanities Research Department since 2009, when she started working in the „Monumenta linguae Dacoromanorum. The 1688 Bible” project. She is a co-organizer of the „Investigations into Romanian and European Biblical Traditions” International Symposium, co-editor of „Biblicum Jassyense. Romanian Journal for Biblical Philology and Hermeneutics” and a member of Romanian Association for Biblical Philology and Hermeneutics. Her current research activities focus on old Romanian lexicography, Romanian Psalters from the 16th and 17th centuries, old and early modern Romanian onomastics, digital editions of old Romanian writings. She has been member in several research projects concerning old and early modern Romanian culture. She co-authored several volumes in the MLD series, the edition of the first Romanian translation of Septuagint and a monography on pre-modern Romanian translation of proper names. She published articles in philology and biblical studies journals.
