Mihai-Bogdan Atanasiu is Scientific Researcher III at the Social Sciences and Humanities Research Department, Institute of Interdisciplinary Research, “Alexandru Ioan Cuza” University Iași and associate professor at the History Faculty of the above mentioned University. A PhD since march 2012, postdoctoral researcher (2014-2015), director or member of several research projects financed by the Ministry of National Education (2008-2015) and member of some national academic societies (since 2006). His research activity is centered on the political, social and cultural history of Moldavia in the 17th – 19th centuries. He has published two monographs, numerous articles in collective volumes and in prestigious journals at home and abroad, has coordinated the publishing of other collective volumes, edited a series of historical sources and is now a member of the editorial staff for some well-known scientific journals. In 2017 he received the “Nicolae Iorga” aword of the Romanian Academy.
